Our Comfort rooms are spacious double rooms in the monumental part of the Villa. The rooms are fully equipped and the authentic details ensure an attractive stay. One of the comfort rooms is a single room.
In addition to all the luxury of the comfort room, these rooms have a cozy sitting area and a retro minibar filled with tasty drinks. Several rooms have a link with the "Naturpark Hunsrück Hochwald".
The villa was built around 1905 for Arthur Schmidt, the owner of the metalware factory Theodor Schmidt on Mainzer Straße, from sandstone, a building material unusual for Idar-Oberstein. Now the villa is owned by the company Horbach Hotels GmbH, a subsidiary of the Dutch Horbach Group BV with the owners John and Tessa Horbach.
